Did my vote for Council count as a first-round vote for Ishan?  Or did it not count period?  My vote for Poirot for Senate counted, right?  I ranked him first, above my "This is stupid" write-in.

Yes, any write in vote not for a candidate accepting write ins is basically ignored when counting votes.
