Biden did better than last time but so did Trump.

Biden clearly won but credit to Trump for acting less unhinged.

People are grossly overestimating the rationality of voters.

Trump is not going to lose any more POC than Biden is going to lose Texas after today.

That result is pretty much representative of national margin.
Everyone thinks their guy won

9 for Biden, 2 say it was a draw, 0 for Trump.

Thanks for the exact count. I missed it while I was typing.

CNN insta poll

32% D
31% R
Sample

53-39 Biden won the second debate
60-28 Biden won in first debate

Biden favorability went from 55 to 56.
Trump's favorability went from 42 to 41

53-39 Biden won the second debate
60-28 Biden won in first debate

Who wants to take bets on which doomer will claim this is actually bad for Biden and that Trump narrowing it from 32% to 14% means he actually won the debate?

The first debate insta poll was actually far more democratic so Biden didn't do particularly worse in 2nd debate.

The sample merely got redder. Plus there ARE more Democrats than Republicans in the country. There is nothing wrong with having more Democrats in the sample.

You realize the second sample was 32-31 GOP right?

that's more GOP than the nation.

Biden did well.

Yea, that was my point.

Didn't YouGov have the first debate much closer like 48-41 or something like that?

YouGov, DFP, and CNN all found Biden leading by double digits in post-debate polls:

Doomers will probably say it's not as big a lead as the last one (although not actually the case for the YouGov one at least), but:

1. It's still a sizable, double digit lead.

2. It matches up pretty well with what the horse race numbers are, which is terrible for Trump.

3. It sure as hell means Trump's not going to get any sort of boost from this. Everybody is entrenched at this point.

One of the best ways to determine the winner is to see how many crossover voters there are. Biden got a higher share of Republicans that think he won in the first debate than Trump got a share of Democrats.

Biden likely replicated that feat again today.
