Oh thank you everyone! Smiley Nice to see myself mentioned on one of these threads.

Back on topic, a poster that in my opinion often goes misunderstood might be Tender Branson. Yes his Austria-posting on US elections and other posts like that is not everyone's cup of tea (I personally find it funny but I can also see how it's irrelevant and why people dislike it). But his contributions on the International boards are pretty good.

And yes he can often be rather conservative on immigration. But from what you can hear from everyone else's opinions on Atlas you'd think he is some sort of far right Austrian Trumpist or something. But in reality he seems fairly "generic Austrian leftist" to me outside of that one specific issue.

In my opinion he is not necesarily the most underrated; but is definitely the most misunderstood poster.

honestly even most of the worst posters here still have endearing qualities

the truly bad posters are the ones who come on for like 60 posts and then disappear forever, they deserve to remain underrated

unrelated to that i 100% agree that nova green should be held in olowokandi-style regard

khuzifenq doesn't get much credit for his (excellent) contributions.

An interesting thing I have noticed about them is that they often recommend posts not based on if they agree with them but also based on the quality of the post.

Ultimately I had to create a cut-out line on international posters due to the amount of recommendations she’s been getting. The poster knows how to garner attention and tell a story.

Actually sort of both, I made a thread about them that Ed found and tweeted about and then replied to.

I'm surprised not to see ExtremeRepublican thrown out as a possible candidate.

Totally solid long-term poster, and although he hasn't been posting as often since going to Grad School (?) still pops in occasionally to share his perspective from a solidly objective perspective.

Naturally I am a bit biased in terms of posters who like to crunch precinct / local numbers but we got some up and comers on Atlas (Not previously mentioned), like EastofEden, TDAS04.

NcLib, Harry, and Reagente spring to mind from 2016 analysis and coverage.

So many good posters not mentioned (apologies but obviously that means you are not "underrated".)

In general, I think on Atlas most posters with International avatars are considered underrated when posting on US-GE Election boards, regardless of political affiliation, simply because of historical American "Nativism", as well as in many cases their lack of detailed understanding of American Electoral politics despite the fact that many of the International Posters might well actually be more fluent in US Domestic politics than many of the new posters who do a "seagull" before they end up quitting, getting banned, etc because they don't get the fact that this isn't a typical place where folks sit around and wrangle all day and exchange insults simply because of one's political opinions and perspectives.

I actually agree with this lol. BTRD gets a lot of flack and he can be nutty sometimes however he does have a very "human" element to him that I am fond of, and is overall quite independent minded.

This is correct.

I’m not „conservative“ on immigration, I’m common sense on immigration. And yes, pretty left on most other issues.

I'd add urutzizu to the mix, actually makes insightful contributions. Silent Hunter, VARepublican and redjohn are also a good posters that receive not too much attention themselves. Certainly I'm leaving several more out.
