Trump needs to do well at the debate tonight or he is finished.

Too Little Too Late...

close to about 50 million people have already voted and there are very few undecided voters left
plus there will be far less people watching this after the god awful first debate

If Trump really wanted to use a debate to change things he should have agreed to do the second debate. Now its far too late for any debate to really matter at this point

The problem with Trump whats gonna be different with Covid in the first term than in the second. We still are in lockdowns and he promised a vaccine by election day. That's why he is losing bad

Trump needs to do well at the debate tonight or he is finished.

Unless there is an absolute bombshell event on stage tonight, the race is over. We've had 50 million people already vote, which is probably 40% or more of the electorate.

A bit less, probably.  Nate Silver's current estimate is 154 million.

Lol this race has been over for years (yes, even before the pandemic).

Uh, years? That’s a bit much in my view. Why do you think that’s the case?

Anyway I hate coming into a thread about a poll and seeing the same posts quoted every time.

You just made the repeated quote wall 10 feet higher.

Uh, years? That’s a bit much in my view. Why do you think that’s the case?

failure to expand his coalition after a very narrow victory in 2016 in which the stars aligned for him in spite of his horrible campaign + the incredible stability in the GCB polls/Trump's disastrous approval numbers since 2017 + a devastating midterm election in which Republicans had several things going in their favor (‘booming’ economy, no recession/war, galvanized base post-Kavanaugh, surprisingly high turnout, etc.) + lack of persuadable voters. It’s almost like he only won in 2016 because he faced a historically unpopular opponent and hasn’t done anything to broaden his base while completely alienating ‘soft/lesser-of-two-evil’ Trump 2016 supporters for years and further unifying/motivating the Democratic base to turn out in record numbers.

It’s all about Biden's margin and whether Republicans can still narrowly hold the Senate, but Trump has been finished for a very long time.

UNDECIDEDS:

White 3%
Black 13%
Hispanic 14%

DISASTROUS news for Trump, folx.

Also 13% undecided with youngs.

Most of them probably won't vote at all.

Sadly true. However, it gives a reassuring statistical sign that Trump is not about to largely sweep undecided voters as he did in the final days of 2016.

Why do posters on here continue to propagate Sir Woodbury's posts and gloat about them? This is a habit of Atlas which is getting tiring, and frustrates me greatly. It undermines the quality of discussion and derails threads in a manner that they should not be.

If this poll said Biden +3, you know SirWoodbury would be all over it and the thread would be full of his gloating posts. That's the origin of all the posts that are being quoted. Since the poll is Biden +10, why shouldn't we throw it back in his face and embarrass him? As a bonus it even annoys him because notifications show up when his posts get quoted.

Yeah exacley.

Young non-whites are not 8% of the vote or even undecideds. Makes me think there just polling all RVs.

I don't care about embarrassing other posters, not when it derails threads like this and makes them unreadable. This is to say nothing of the fact that such moves could be construed as harassment, violating the Terms of Service.
