I say FF. Definitely the best Pope in my lifetime, at least. He may not be changing the Church as rapidly as some of us would like, but he is definitely going in the right direction, and the fact that he triggers conservative Catholics so much makes him an FF easily.

All Popes are the antichrist, nothing personal against Pope Francis though.

I have a highly positive opinion of Pope Francis, not only because of his endorsement of civil unions (I obviously support SSM, but this is a big step for the Church)

The social encyclical 'Fratelli Tutti' is a brave statement advocating universal brotherhood/sisterhood, as well as the poor and the rnvironment, which condemns the neoliberal and inhumane policies that create poverty and destroy our planet. Francis also takes a clear moral stance against xenophobes and authoritarian populists

Francis is the best Pope possible and a Massive Freedom Fighter. I love him

For a Pope he's okay. Many in the institution he leads probably not so much.

Based and bluepilled, so to speak. I'm strongly pro-Pope Francis in the intra-Catholic context, although I do have my share of gripes with him in other contexts.

Massive Freedom Fighter (duh)

Quote from: Fratelli Tutti §125
What applies to nations is true also for different regions within each country, since there too great inequalities often exist. At times, the inability to recognize equal human dignity leads the more developed regions in some countries to think that they can jettison the “dead weight” of poorer regions and so increase their level of consumption.

This quote that is sure to drive all the muh fiscal federalist cattoleghisti nuts is enough to show how based Pope Francis is. Purple heart

Agreed with Tack's take: as good as you're presently getting for a Pope. I worry his successor will not be as friendly to several causes as he has shown himself to be.

There's almost definitely going to be something of a "snapback" after Francis, as there was after John XXIII, but I don't share some people's fears of some radtrad ghoul getting in, given the current composition of the College of Cardinals.

I am a federalist myself, but I'm afraid that my notion of federalism is far away from those Italians. I mean, "cooperation" and "solidarity" seem to be alien concepts for self-styled "fiscal federalists"

I'd like to know the thoughts of certain Catalan separatists over this quote

Let's put it like this:
"We are not saying we hate the terroni, but we would unplug their life support to charge our phones. BIG DIFFERENCE"
