No, justices should be allowed to park wherever they want and not by party affiliation.

No, but it must be done out of necessity.

No.  There's too much risk it leads to an all-powerful, dictatorial presidency.   After a few cycles of it, SCOTUS will never rule against an incumbent president again.

No, we really don't.  Look around at the states and ask yourself if you want the president using emergency powers as aggressively as the governors have this year (and for every emergency order you support, there is another one in a different state that forbids something you support).  At least governors face statewide popular vote elections and people can move freely between states.

*The Mississippi and Vermont technicalities have never gone against the statewide PV winner in the modern era and would be challenged as unconstitutional if they did.

No, but I am a fan of unpacking, which will be necessary if Trump fills two vacancies 55 months apart in a single term.

Normatively no, but there used to be an informal gentleman's agreement on how to handle SC appointments which the Republicans completely threw out the window with the Garland thing. They have no right to expect the Dems to abide by any kind of rules here when they won't. SC appointments will just be partisan knife fights going forward and it's their fault.

No, but we should have term limits for SCOTUS justices.

This, but I feel like there should be an accommodation provided in order to ensure that a senior like Breyer isn't made to walk super far if a young blood like Barrett beats him to the office in the morning.

The most new justice has to get everyone coffee anyway. Lucky Kavanaugh.

Actually not, but after what Moscow Mitch and Graham have done, I wouldn't rule it out. I'd definitely like term limits from justices. Let them be on the bench for 12 years and then finish, with no prospect of reappointment.

Poor Breyer had to do that for twelve years.
