I personally want Preet Bharara, not Cuomo or Doug Jones as Attorney General.

That said, not having Cuomo as Governor would be fine with me, especially since Kathy Hochul would probably be very vulnerable to a primary challenge from her left.

Not sure if I'd be happy that he would no longer be my governor or worried he'd be even more destructive as AG. I guess as AG he couldn't ruin the MTA anymore, so...

This is the best response.

Is it worth it that we get him out of Albany? Especially considering he wants to be there till 2026.

It very well might be.

I'll take one Governor Jumaane Williams please.

After four years of Session/Barr, we need a non controversial face heading the Justice Department. Either give it to Doug Jones as a consolation prize for sparing us of Roy Moore, or if he loses his Senate race, give it to Steve Bullock.

A Governor Jumaane Williams gives NY a Governor Lee Zeldin or Harry Wilson in 2026

Should be Doug Jones. If I were Cuomo, I’d rather just stay NY governor anyway.

And that is in fact what he’s saying he wants to do. The article seems highly speculative and based on little more than rumor and hearsay. Junk.

No. Bad Biden. Very bad Biden. Nobody cares about Andrew Cuomo anymore and he also sucks.

Doug Jones can morph from a OG to AG.

Cuomo isn't a bad choice if Biden doesn't want or can't go for redistricting reform, Cuomo might steer the Dems into chaos for redistricting.

This is not inspiring confidence in Biden's ability to make anything better.

Hard to see Cuomo leaving the governorship to become a cabinet member, even a high-profile one.
The guy seems obsessed with breaking his father's term record.

Not sure, but I wouldn't be surprised. Probably not the best choice, but not the worst either. I was hoping for Doug Jones since his reelection bid is doomed. My gut feeling was always Sally Yates, though she could take over DHS instead or just return as Deputy AG.

If true this basically dispels the notion that Biden would handle COVID any better than Trump. Most Republicans would be a better pick than Cuomo.

Quite a few governors have handled Covid similarly or worse than Trump has, among them Andrew Cuomo
