One person was fatally shot in Denver on Saturday against the backdrop of opposing rallies between far-right and far-left activists.

The circumstances were still unclear Saturday night, but a local television station reported that a security guard it had hired was being detained in connection with the shooting.

while I had heard the story, it is odd how little news it's getting

possible explanations...
1.we didn't know which side the shooter and the shootee were on (we do now, the shootee was pro-cop, the shooter has been identified as "not antifa"...which is code for something and a "guard" for a local TV station)
2.we don't know the circumstances (though the shooter was quickly arrested for homicide, but as the victim was pro-cop, that doesn't mean much) so we don't know if this is story pushes the correct narrative
3.it's not a big deal anymore when political violence gets ratcheted up to the "death" level

 People shooting each other at rallies or protests is going to become the new school shootings. That's how insane the gun epidemic is in this country is. We'll gloss over these and become numb like it's not a totally bonkers occurrence and sign of a broken and sick society.
