Tax records expose more than $21 million in highly unusual payments from the Las Vegas hotel Donald Trump owns with Phil Ruffin, routed through other Trump companies and paid out in cash.

Watch Trump resign on January 19th and then on his one day as president Pence issues a blanket pardon to Trump for any and all crimes to "defend our president against a Democrat political witch hunt."

A possibility, but it wouldn't save Trump from prosecution by New York State or any other non-federal jurisdiction.

Which is probably why they won't stick their necks out to cover for him if he loses. Trump's arrangement with the Republican Party is entirely dependent on him actually securing reelection. Otherwise, they gain no benefit in continuing to run interference for him and only incur his downsides. Why would they want to give Democrats such a potent talking point to rake them over the coals with for years to come if he just ends up getting prosecuted by the states anyway?

Seems unlikely to me. A luxury hotel without a casino is a pretty bad business to launder $21m through. If Phil Ruffin was involved, as he must've been, being co-owner, they would've laundered money (say, from a foreign source) through Treasure Island, which still would've been a terrible idea.

What I'm more interested in is how the payments were made and accounted for, since this came out of a jointly-owned casino, and it would be illegal for Phil Ruffin to personally donate millions to Trump's campaign.

Yea, Trump might get nailed to the wall for tax fraud, bank fraud, wire fraud and money laundering too. You love to see it!

Money laundering is a federal crime, so if Pence pardoned Trump, NY would not be able to go after him.

I remember when Nixon was sent to DC prison.
