If Biden wins here by anything more than five points, it’s hard to see Bacon winning.

Sticking with my rating of Likely D for the Presidential race, Tilt D for the House race.

Jesus running behind Biden by 7. Progressives need to get out of swing and moderate seats or they'll just cost Democrats time and time again

Or maybe some moderates shouldn't be sore losers refusing to endorse the candidate of their own party (Ann Ashford [as far as I know she didn't endorse Bacon yet?]) or even endorsing her opponent (Bob Krist, Brad Ashford)?

Governor Ted Strickland and former Senator Sherrod Brown of Ohio agree with this take

It'd be so nice to see Eastman win now that Ashford's endorsed Don Bacon. Really hope the final margin is equal to or larger than this.

Bacon could run one of the most flawless campaigns of any incumbent in the country, but in this environment there’s only so much you can do. I’d be very surprised if he managed to win.

Honestly, at this point, Democrats don't even really need this seat. This is a good year for leftists to run in more competitive seats. If it were 2012, I'd feel differently, but this is the kind of election that the left can use to try and increase their influence in the party. Personally I'd have liked a better candidate than Eastman to come forward, but whatever.

I’m mainly curious how far behind Biden she runs.  Is it only 1-2% or more like 3-5%?
