Thinks I only 15 seconds ago when I started reading this post - - gee, I should post something saying how much do you want to bet that the participants were involved in that armed attempt to intimidate the Michigan legislature a couple months back?

And that whole mob was actively thoroughly organized and backed by the Michigan GOP. Plus egg gone by  leaders like Trump and Carlson. Meanwhile Joe Biden says people who set buildings on fire or break windows or throw things at cops should go to prison.

I am unsure what to think of this. I am reflexively skeptical of claims by the FBI or other security agencies to have foiled grand terrorist plots. They virtually always turn out of be a small group of desperate or deplorable idiots, encouraged by an entourage of paid provocateurs and informants who lead them by the nose through some dastardly plot the FBI has invented for them, until they stumble into the prearranged spotlight and are carted off while the government pats itself on the back for another job well done.

The conspirators absolutely appear to be deplorable human beings. They also appear to have taken every step of their conspiracy accompanied by paid agents of the FBI. The FBI is generally quite good at making sure its designated terrorists are unable to plead entrapment, and what the accused have done  certainly does appear to cross the threshold for criminality. Conspiracies are usually for dumb, desperate people and for fanatics who have no other means for achieving their ends. About the only conspiracy of which I have ever heard that had high-quality people involved is the July 20 plot against Antichrist Hitler. Most conspiracies involve people trying to get rid of a troublesome person or do insurance fraud so that all can go well in their lives, or involve Mafia-like organizations.

President Trump has displayed huge animus against Governor Whitmer. as a result of her unwillingness to sacrifice Michigan to COVID-19 on his behalf. Now I understand why former Governor Rick Snyder (R), himself a piece of work, has endorsed Joe Biden. The lawful authority of a State Governor has been put at risk by a President , and with that the federal system of government. State Governors are not responsible to the President; Governors have the responsibility to seek federal aid in the event of emergencies and rightly get it.

Ever notice how this m*********** treats the government like his own business.? He talks as if he did Governor Whitmer some huge personal favor by having his justice department, you know, enforce the law against people who plotted to have her killed? As if should have chosen not to really press the issue like she's so apparently deserves, he could have just let it happen in the world would be better off for it?
