You might want to announce once Colin resigns. . . (since right now there is officially no election)

Doesn't it say in the constitution that you can't be President and Senator at the same time?

Are you going to announce anything, TrueDemocrat?

I have decided not to run for the District 1 at this time.  This is a Shermanesque statement.

I will not accpe tno as an answer. I will encorauge the people of District 1 to draft TrueDemocrat as a candidate.

This will not be necessary. The people of District 1 are already supporting me, therefore they have no desire to draft True Democrat.

If I still can, I would like to drop out of the Senate race. I don't have any time to do any effective campaigning, and DWTL is being a total asshole, and he's driving me nuts.

Please don't drop out, firstly because uncontested races suck.

Aww. Ok. I'll pull a Ross Perot and re-anounce my candidacy Smiley However, I don't want to do much campaigning.

We have one ticket running for President???

Kind of. We have Bgwah/Meeker & Afleitch/?Huh running.

Afleitch will have to have a write in campaign because stating he "might" run is not an affirmation.

He said that he "thinks" he'll run, though I suppose that's not an affirmation either. Has this ever happened before, where only one ticket for President declared before the deadline?

Don't think so. Usually there's tonnes of candidates. Hmmmm. How terribly unfortunate. The ballot has been posted. I hope I didn't miss anyone.

Come on, Earl. That's an overliteral interpretation. Andrew is clearly running.

How is it overly literal? He said he was thinking about running. It's not my responsibility to read all the campaign threads to see who is running or not. It is my responsibility to look at this thread to see who is running, and he never said he was.

Guess you're right.

This is the crappiest ballot Atlasia has ever had.

It will prove to be most interesting to see how the write-ins fair Cheesy

What is the deadline for declaring for a special election?  This field is getting a little crowded...

I think today is the deadline. I wouldn't call the field that crowded, really...

There are, I believe, 5 candidates

There are just 3. Space Mutant was too late to file, and catmusic dropping out was too late. Also, KyleGordon is running for a race that doesn't exist.

I'm running for the next public office I'm eligible to run for.

Vote Iosif [ x ]

You're going to have to be more specific.

I will be dropping out of this race, and running for the at large Senate seat election.
