Though it's great to see your enthusiasm, the position of Southeast Magistrate is an appointed one, and upon confirmation by a vote of Southeast citizens Magistrates serve till they resign or are recalled.

Then I'll run for Lt. Gov, i guess.

I, Warner for Senate 08, declare my official candidacy for Lt. Governor of the Mideast Region.

You'd have to be nominated first by the Governor.  We have a vacancy currently.  As well, you'd have to wait 10 days before we could even have an election for you.

He can stand for the post during the next election.

Well, if Everett gets too high to take the oath of office again, at least Jesus can't just appoint someone to the seat, since it isn't regional.

for the record, this is the first time someone will say they're stoned in their candidacy declaration and still win by over 70% of the vote. I still support CultureKing, but this is the Pacific we're talking about.

I am informed that this is the proper venue to do so, by Mr. Moderate.  My platform is sensible, constrained, cautious, centrist, and independent of the partisan cant that despoils the most fruited place on the Fruited Plain! Or something like that. 

I'm sure you're a good candidate, but it isn't statistically possible for you to get more than a few votes due to the Pacific JCP machine.

In that case, I will be running for the Mideast Senate Seat.

The filing deadline has passed, so you would have to do so as a write-in.  Also, it should be noted that Meeker has technically not withdrawn from the Mideast Senate race despite declaring for VP.

Well, if Sensei/Meeker wins and Meeker wins the Mideast Senate race, then will the 2nd place finisher win the Senate seat or would there have to be a special election?

If Meeker isn't running, my full support is with King.
