Preston's declaration of candidacy is valid, as per regional law. See article VII, section three of the Southeastern Constitution. With the election slated to begin tomorrow, candidates had until noon central time today to declare candidacy.

Cry

It was something I had decided upon as soon as it was apparent afleitch would win. Still, after I saw you had already declared it became very hard decision for me to make.

You will get my second preference of course. Smiley

Indeed. The loss of Bacon King has, if nothing else, shaken up the game.

^^^^^^^^

Exactly. All prior assumptions about Atlasia's polical alignment have basically been thrown out the window.

Like I've said numerous types, the JCP has been lucky. We don't monopolize anything.

In October 08, we were lucky Mr. Moderate dropped out at the last minute.

In Feb 09, we were lucky the AndrewCT/Duke ticket never materialized.

In June 09, well... we ran a pretty good campaign. But even then, we were lucky that invalidated votes were disproportionately PiT votes.

In October 09, we were lucky the Jedi/Franzl ticket fell apart.

Overall, June was definitely our greatest achievement. For once, the victor wasn't a friggin' moderate. For once, it wasn't a friggin' unity ticket, which, even though I was elected on one, are kind of lame.

Yeah, but any special senate election is basically written off as a JCP gain.

Not anymore. We don't have the numbers to automatically win things, and we really haven't for a while now (ever since Hamilton went on his zombie binge before being banned).

I don't recall if I've officially announced or not, so here:

I'm running for VP on a ticket with Polnut.

I don't recall if I've officially announced or not, so here:

I'm running for VP on a ticket with Polnut.

According to Franzl, both President and Vice President nominee's had to declare they're running yesterday. So you will unfortunately not be on the ballot with Polnut.

Hold on, not so fast. Our election law doesn't specify that one is supposed to declare their candidacy in this thread, it only specifies when the declaration must be done. There's existing precedent where people have been on the ballot without actually declaring so in this thread.

Nevertheless, I'd like to submit for the record here: Polnut's announcement that I will be his running mate (dated May 14th) as well as my acceptance as Polnut's VP-nominee (dated May 15th). Given this information, I should be placed appropriately on the ballot.

Thanks.
