I don't think I have seen it posted in this thread, but Hughento and Afleitch are running together. Everett & TexasGurl are running together and have posted in this thead. Everything else is correct to my knowledge. (Unless you want to include the special Mideast election that is taking place right now.)

Until someone tells me the districts are otherwise, I am annoucing I will be seeking the District 2 vacated by Senator Virginian87's retirement

Maybe, maybe not. You can just say you are running for whatever district you end up in. You could end up in Colin's district who already said he is running.

Under the circumstances of the situation with the Districts not being finalized until after what would have been the deadline, I like Ernest's bill as that was a very creative solution.

If you want to get technical, I believe my Declaration was also after the deadline if the election stays on the 8 - 10.

Actually, I believe DWTL's most recent statement was that he wanted to be left on the ballot, but he wouldn't be campaigning. I'm not certain, but I think that's right.

Yeah, I caught that.  My edit to the Wiki:

(1) Still has DWTL as a candidate on the August 2006 Senate Election page.
(2) Makes a mention to him dropping out but still remaining on the ballot on the "In the News" section.
(3) Removed Ernest from the August 2006 Senate Election page.
(4) Added a mention of Ernest's confirmation as Secretary of External Affairs to the "In the News" section.
(5) Randomly chose a "featured article" for the front page, since we haven't had one there in, like, months.

Hope you edited the August 2007 page. Good job updating the wiki though and to Hashemite as well. I couldn't tell you the last time the featured article was updated.

So someone could declare a day before the elections? That won't give either of us time to campaign at all.

Yes. And it's sort of been done. A 24 hour write-in campaign was launched (even though the candidate was eligible to file a regular candidacy). Said election went into a run-off.
