Just to make it official I'm running as Brandon H's running mate as Vice President.

Just so there is no case for confusion or technicalities,
I will be running for President with WildCard as my running mate.

I am running from the Senate, as far away from it as I can get, in the June elections.

No, it's the 12th.  The cutoff is always 10 days before the election, and the election begins the 22nd.

I am not running for Southeast Lt. Governor in the June 2007 elections.

Rather, I am running as a Write-in candidate (or on-the-ballot candidate) if you still can) for Southeast Regional Senator in the June 2007 elections.

The deadline was June 12, so you'll have to be a write-in.

Not that it really makes that much of a difference around here. Tongue

What a curious fiction: Please read Section 7 of the CESRA.

Okay, I have:
"Any instance of the word 'candidate' in Sections 1 through to 6 shall be read as "ticket" in the case of Presidential elections." I fail to see the relevance.

He may have been refering to section 8:
"Section 8: Candidacy Declarations
1. The candidacy declaration deadline for regular elections to the Senate shall be seven days before the earliest possible commencement of the election and for special elections to the Senate shall be two days before the commencement of the election."

Gabu, just a note to you:

I think Dr. Cynic withdrew from the race, though I'm not sure if he officially did it in this thread.

For the record: I'm going to leave the absentee ballot as is given that some people have already voted and I don't want to give them the urge to edit their ballot.  Any votes for Dr. Cynic will just be ignored.

The official non-absentee ballot will have his name removed.

You might want to announce once Colin resigns. . . (since right now there is officially no election)

Doesn't it say in the constitution that you can't be President and Senator at the same time?

Yes, but until he takes his oath as President, he's still a Senator.
