Cooper isn't a reliable source for anything.

It's the smartest thing he could do, which means he won't do it.

Take this with a massive grain of salt. Trump's current advisors are not standing up to him in any situation, let alone advising him to resign.

Is this why he's tweeting like a deranged bipolar maniac tonight?

There are many possible ways these next four weeks could play out - a resignation from Trump is not one of them.

He won't resign until after the election, if he even does then.

He absolutely won't. His ego is too big. Nixon, for his flaws, was a seasoned politician who knew he wouldn't survive the Watergate fallout. Trump is far less savvy.

Yeah, this is definitely not true, just wanted to see what people thought on Atlas. If you want I can delete this thread, as it kinda doesn't serve a purpose anymore

Even if Trump resigned, the GOP is still screwed since his supporters would be too demoralized to come out for Pence, and there aren’t enough current Biden supporters who prefer Pence to Biden

Even if it were from a more credible source than Jon Cooper (lol), it makes no sense.

The president resigning weeks before his reelection sounds like a perfect way to implode GOP turnout in a redistricting year and screw the party over for the next decade in much of the country.

This sounds like Pence doesn’t want to debate tomorrow. If he’s the Prez. nominee, he wouldn’t have to.

Once he's done grifting, why would he care?

Replies to this sort of thing are always interesting. If nothing else you could have it moved to off topic.

If he becomes convinced he's going to lose, it wouldn't surprise me if he does.
