If threads like this are to be tolerated, they should at least be quarantined where they can be avoided. What an embarrassment to the forum.

I reported the first two (2) posts as trolling just before the 3rd post (which was reasonble) was posted.

It's much more admirable to be a 'redneck' than to be a grad student or trial lawyer, if those are the good things you are bragging about.

Are the Dems the ones that blatantly want to expand income inequality? The Republicans are the ones who pander to rubes and then make fun of them behind their backs.

Given how often 'muh barmaid' gets bandied around by Republicans (among other tropes), I'd say the red team hasn't ceded the rhetorical ground there just yet. Democrats are more likely to look down their noses at certain rural lower-income folk but this has more to with them being rural than them being lower-income, as evidenced by the lack of a similar level of Democratic disdain for impoverished city dwellers. The reverse is true for Republicans although I'd wager the contempt towards urban folk is a fair bit more acute.

Yeah but that’s a really small voting block. Plus a lot of those guys are frat boys who got a good career handed to them on a silver platter.

True. The Trump family was expecting to lose the election, and use their newfound cult following to open hotels and sell products in bumpkin-land (because the traditional big markets were no longer interested in them.)

Yes, along with those who are in denial and think it's still the party of Reagan
The sad thing is that Reagan wasn’t even a good president, but he still gets worshipped by half of the nation as if he was a saint. Makes me worry that Republicans will do the same with Trump long after he’s gone, though hopefully him losing in 2020 will spur the party’s view of him by making him look like a “loser”, unlike Reagan

Reagan is ranked in the top 8-12 by almost every list historians do . Reagan is only not a good president if you take a biased liberal policy view when hiding history rather than on whether the presidents were successful at getting their agenda passed , how influential their presidency after they left , and state of nation when they left office vs when they came in .

Reaganomics was a disaster for this country

Again a liberal policy opinion , and not how presidents are judged . Tell me why else why would historians(who are mostly liberal) rank him in the top 8-12. The reason is cause they don’t rank the presidents based on their personal political opinions.

As a conservative I think Reaganomics was great for our nation and thanks to Reagan we had the best 18 year period in American history

Clown-tier Republican commentary. Yeah, Reagan was responsible for the decade that followed his presidency /s. What actually happened is that the GOP became unmoored from empirical reality, and disaster ensued. Democrats have been tasked with cleaning the diaper, because petulant, geriatric babies don't want to believe in things such as climate change, financial fraud, or coronavirus. Just one unmitigated disaster after another — that's the legacy of the modern GOP.

Vote straight-ticket Democratic for the rest of your lives. It's the only escape from the clutches of these demented sociopaths.

Morbidly obese older white people with a neckbeard is probably the GOP's base. Especially if they also drive a pickup truck with a Confederate flag.

Are people implying Karens vote for democrats? Like a lot of them are anti mask, anti vaccine, drive expensive cars, have upper middle class husbands. Their literally part of the 15-25% of GOP voters whose main voting issue is lowering taxes and are the upper crust of the burbs.
