I know you're old enough to remember when science was either neutral or favorable on the use of mercury.  A person slightly older than me told me that children even used to play with balls of mercury, and obviously mercury was used in tooth fillings.  If you think that only the initial science can be correct, would you play with balls of mercury or get your teeth filled with them?

Horrifying story:

My grandmother told me about how one time when she was little, her and her siblings and some other kids were bored and one of them had this brilliant idea to get the thermometer out of the medicine cabinet and break it in half and pour the mercury out and play with it. So they did, picking the mercury up with their hands, putting it on a table and smearing it around to try to make different shapes with it.

Then my grandmother's mother came in and yelled at them for breaking the thermometer, cleaned the mercury up with a towel and threw it in the trash.

They are selfish to the point that they don't care about anyone else. If they don't think groups other than them deserve rights, why would they care about potentially infecting them with a virus that could cause them great complications?

By the way, it stems from their Republican voters. The driving force to end restrictions began from grass-root idiots, not the political elite.

It should also be noted: the science suggests that wearing a mask helps you as well.

The greater the virus load a person gets, the more serious the virus will likely be.

Wearing a mask seems to reduce the wearer's viral load if they do come into close contact with somebody with the virus.

Another one. Who does Roger Wicker think he is? Does he think he's immortal and that the health of his fellow passengers doesn't matter?

Your great-grandmother was a wise woman, and ahead of the times, it seems.

If he's like Senator Grassley, he'll refuse to be tested.

This is really beyond a joke.  These Republican politicians aren't refusing to wear masks because they find them uncomfortable, they're doing it intentionally because it's what their supporters want and to 'own the libs' (which is also what their supporters want.)

These Typhoid Republican voters are cheering Typhoid Republican Politicians on for potentially spreading the virus.  Can anybody seriously argue now that Republican voters are anything but evil, stupid or loony?

Chris Christie is morbidly obese and has asthma, and yet he has been walking around without a mask, surrounded by other masked people, traveling by airplane, and doing any number of other reckless things.

Chris Christie should be staying at home other than for essential errands and not going in any buildings without a mask on. And yet...

Christie was never presidential material.

He is too obese.
