After resigning form Baseball Commissioner, Albert Benjamin "Happy" Chandler Sr. decides to run for President. Does he do any better then what Adlai Stevenson II did in real life? Who is his running mate?

Fmr. Senator Happy Chandler (D-KY) / Senator Warren Magnuson (D-WA)
General Dwight Eisenhower (R-KS) / Senator Richard Nixon (R-CA) ✓

Chandler would be understood more or less as a sacraficial lamb, but one with a big personality rather than being the ultimate generic New Dealer Democrat like Stevenson. He balances the ticket with a more Northern, generic New Dealer figure.
