I'm pretty sure a county that has voted modestly to the left of the state at the presidential level since 2008 is not a "bellwether."

Don't go by anecdotal evidence down here. The social desirability bias is not a thing down here. I used to live in a neighborhood in the Eastern Suburbs that went WAAAYY down hill since I was growing up. A lot of white trash moved in and when I visit, all you see is Trump and Alt-Right stuff.
