It looks unlikely that any of the right wing, former Republican candidates can win.

You know what the Republican should do?  Withdraw.  All of them.  Even if they band together, they can't win.  But if they band together and allign with Nym or Gustaf, they would be the difference and would swing the election.

We Republicans are not going to side with a UAC member who speaks in platitudes or a super Liberal Democrat.

I wpould rather not make a difference than have to side with those who I do not agree with.

PBrunsel. I am thinking that we can...

Run Reaganfan/PBrunsel and likely lose

Run PBrunsel/Reaganfan

OR, ban behind gustaf (BETTER THAN NYM) and then duke it out in a le=ater election. Gain a few senate seats, and get the GOP back together. We can still be Republicans. Infact, you and I can help recreate the GOP during Gustaf's term.

Switching around the president and vice-presidential tickets in the middle of the campaign would be the most ridiculous thing Atlas Fantasy Politics has ever seen.

Not really...the most ridiculous thing was Reaganfan getting the GOP nomination without any primary votes.

This was clearly a mistake on the part of the GOP, and if they want to rectify now then so be it.

Actually he did get primary votes. Not in the first primary, in the second.

Platitudes? What do you expect from a politician? Wink

When one makes general statements they should be general, that has always been my opnion. I get bored when politicians drag issues into it. Issue debates, etc are different though.

And if there's anyone on this board who's the master of platitudes I'd have to say it's another presidential candidate... Tongue

You took that the wrong way. I don't want to be your VP, hell no. I mean if you take over for Reaganfan you should consider a different VP besdies him.

GfP--you don't have to be mean about it.  I'm sure several people will vote for RF/PB.

No MAS, you took it the wrong way Smiley. He was answering Tweed's point that the only way they would make a difference is if they sided with either Gustaf or Nym90.
