Biden addressed the issues, talked to the American people, stayed calm, and, not only held his ground, but he put Trump on the defensive.

Do you still think Joe Biden has dementia, Trump supporters?
Biden definitely managed to stay more calm and win the debate but he did not address the issue of court packing instead saying its upto the American people.

That was not a good debate at all. I don't know who won, but everyone I watched with agreed Biden sounded and looked awful and so did Trump.

Some general points to people on this thread trying to do analysis:

1. Were you expecting anything different than that? If so, you're a damn idiot.
2. Why are you grading winners or losers? It doesn't matter, these CPD debates are a complete waste of time when everyone in this country has made up their minds and there are no undecided voters.

Trump talked over him for hours and “shut up” is where you draw the line? He talked about his son being a drug addict...

Cenk Uygur of TYT is salty that Trump got Biden to disown the Left and the Green New Deal.

So roughly in line with the national polling average. Further proof that debates rarely persuade anyone, and people just see their choice as the winner.

Wow what a mess.

I can’t understand how any did well. Both were terrible but I guess Biden looked better in comparison for not looking like an angry asshole lol

Trump usually comes off as charismatic in his past debates because of his sense of humor, even if it’s not for everyone. He had nothing of that this night and came off as too desperate.

trump made a complete mockery of the debate, and by default, made himself look like an unhinged president.
Biden spoke (in short bursts, when allowed) directly to the American people and showed he was concerned about them ... about their healthcare, their jobs, their current troubles (re Covid), etc.
All the Orange Buffoon kept bringing-up, over and over and over again, was ancient garbage about "Hunter Biden," which has all been proven as nonsense (even by Republican Senators).
Biden wins, because trump MADE HIMSELF look like a Nutjob on national TV.

Trump told his supporters to intimidate voters at the polling places, to be violent if they don't get what they want, to side with white supremacist organizations. Trump lied and rambled and shouted over everyone, attacking the idea of a debate, bullying, being irrational, not making sense. What a disgrace, an embarrassment, a failure, a dictator wannabe.

It is a testament to the robustness of our democracy that we haven't descended into a dictatorship.

So Trump didn't prepare at all and just decided to shout, delay, and wing it?

Is that intended as a summary of the debate, his term of office, or his entire life?

In any case, it's accurate.

Yeah, Biden came off a lot better than Trump. And Trump needed a big win, even if you think it's a draw that's a big picture win for Biden.
