When Biden gets flustered, he gets angry and flies off the handle. I expect Trump to more than exploit this massive weakness tonight.

When Trump gets flustered, all he can do is interrupt with incoherent drivel and lie about everything.

Um compared to Trump who just rambles incoherently and turns into your racist grandpa?

Hot take: This debate will be very uneventful in the grand scheme of things and will not change the election.

Why does Trump need to set aside $70,000 for his hair maintenance?

Is Trump actually bald?

FYI - this is not a winning argument for Biden supporters. Biden has a confirmed hair transplant. He looked like this before

FYI - suggesting and implying Biden is a predator and/or pedophile is not a winning argument for Trump supporters.  Trump has had multiple affairs, admitted on tape that he assaults women, has been accused of raping a 13 year old girl, and was friends with Jeffrey Epstein.

Damn, hair transplants really do work. I need them.

It’s pretty much a guarantee that the post debate performance polls will say Biden won.  We see how well that worked for Hillary.

I'm frankly just tuning in because one of my professors said that we get two bonus points added onto our final class percentages if we watch the debates and write a short blurb about any mentions of COVID.

That's a pretty cold take, honestly. Given what happened in 2016, I think it's safe to say that debates rarely move the needle.

With Biden anything can happen, imagine the storm if he were to collapse on the stage or he has a breakdown.

Trump can probably rise a couple points in the polling average if he does a great job in the debates and Biden falters. We'll see what happens tonight. Trump has a month to turn his ship around, and Biden has pretty high ceilings in most of the battleground states at this point. Trump needs to win over a majority of undecided voters, which he could do but I'm very skeptical that he can catch up in the midwest.

I think Trump's biggest difficulty is going to be defending his own record. He's great at going on the attack, but that's not really his purpose here. He needs to defend his Presidential record, which he rarely does with any truth or evidence. If Biden nails him down for doing an awful and chaotic job these past four years (hopefully mentioning how 80% of Trump's top staff has left and since said he was an awful leader), Trump doesn't really have a chance.

Tonight, 60 million people will see how old and frail Biden looks . That will make a difference. People don’t watch debate for substance, to get actual insight. They don’t listen to what the candidates say. They go by impression, and the way a candidate looks is often critical. It shouldn’t be this way, but it is.

Enough.  This is how Biden looked in his last on-screen debate.  He certainly looks old, but not one-foot-in-his-grave the way you describe it.  He moves and speaks with precision and confidence.

Weekly reminder that Hillary's numbers went up after the debates and only fell around the Comey letter release. Debates matter a lot, especially this year with so little in person campaigning.

I'm not sure that changes all that much. Over half of the country knows that he's a liar and has failed as prez. His die hard supporters can't be convinced anyway. Trump will just distract and deflect from his record and outright lie about it. He'll claim the US is doing great with Covid, a vaccine to be released "very soon" and that he himself "built the greatest economy in the history of the world". The question for Biden is whether he constantly interrupts and corrects or whether he just let's it stand and concentrate on getting his own message out.

My advice would be to call out the most blatant lies with phrases like "It's not true", "You have no idea", "Once again, you're over your head", "Don't talk stuff you're unaware of", but to try to aviod being a non-stop fact checker on Trump. Because then the entire discussion is just about Trump and his dishonesty. It's important Biden presents his vision for America in simple terms and appear compassionate while doing so.

Because tonight is the first time ever in history that Joe Biden has ever been on tv.

America already knows who Joe Biden is. That’s uh, why he’s winning. Smiley

It actually worked out pretty well for Hillary up until the Comey letter that were released days before the election. Her lead over trump got bigger after she kicking his butt in the first debate lol

The only reason she started declining again in the polls is because of FBI announced that they were once again investigating Her and by time her poll numbers started to recover it was too little too late

It's over for Biden, Trump will get big polling bounce in white working-class PA+WI because Biden wants two commercial breaks in the debate with 90%+ of voters already solidly decided.
