If Ross Perot decied to try and seek the governorship of Texas in 1994, how would he do? Would the winner be different?

I assume he’s running as an independent?

If so, MAYBE this helps Ann Richards hang on? Honestly not sure.

Texas makes it difficult for independents to run for governor. Even then, I don't think he changes anything, especially not on the year of the Republican Revolution and with how many Republicans resented him for 1992. Probably underperforms even Kinky Friedman '06.
