The frontline says: The president's legacy will be to have opted for democracy.

Full quote is:
Quote
What do you think will be the legacy of President Piñera?
I believe that the legacy, in my opinion, would have to be that he chose an institutional path to resolve the legitimate differences between Chileans and that was done in peace and in democracy.

Good to know that Dictatorship was on the table, very kind of them not to do that. They still committed thousands of humans rights violations repriming the protests.

Okay, maybe Mike Johnson is a competent parliamentarian.

Is this the same interior minister who's a member of Piñera's extended family?

Nope, that was his predecessor's predecessor, Andrés Chadwick, Piñera's cousin. Among other very nice and not at all psychopathic things, Chadwick was the main person responsible for the repressions and deaths during last year's protests, and in the 90s helped a literal pedophile Nazi run a former Pinochet era torture camp and/or wannabe Mount Carmel Center (yes, seriously).
