Honestly, is anyone surprised by this? It's what I and many others said for years. There is a reason Mr. Trump is hiding the returns with phony argument of "audit". And I'm sure this report is just the tip of the iceberg ...

... And finally, the revelations prove, as others already knew, he's anything but a successful businessman. That destroys the argument he used to sell himself. Mr. Trump is one of the biggest conmen of our time. If not the biggest.

I want to take this time to give Runeghost (Ghost of Ruin) a big pat-in-the-back.
He never gave-up giving us constant threads and posts regarding trump's shady business and tax dealings over the last 4/5 years. That trump was a con-man and un-profitable businessman. Many of us, didn't even bother to acknowledge and respond to his posts of Tweets and other information he gathered, that all pointed EXACTLY to "something like this."

Well, he was right! Big Kudos to Runeghost!
And in the funny spirit of Biden words, I tell you all to "push the Recommend button (below), you bastards."
Smiley

Everyone already knew he was a sleazebag who played a businessman on TV.

I don't care what's in the tax returns. I'm just glad someone had the guts to give them to a public venue.

No wonder Donny never released them himself if it took guts to do so.

The timing of the NYT political hit piece is very suspect. If you have to question the timing, you have to question the motives. If you have to question the motives, you have to question the ‘facts.’

Liberals are so afraid they will lose this election, that they bring out their most standard of dirty tactics.

Donald Trump could easily clear up any liberal Deep State misinformation about his tax returns by...

...releasing his own copies of his tax returns.

LOL.
I love it. This story is getting better and better every day.
And The NYT is telling us they will be releasing more over the next 4/5 weeks.
I need to go out and buy tons of microwavable popcorn.

Ah, yes. Another respectable "disappointed and alarmed" Republican who will still vote to ram through the Handmaiden to SCOTUS.

Over the past 15 years, Trump paid more for sex than he did in taxes.

A good rule of thumb is that people who are actually rich tend to conspicuously avoid media/publicity.

And if Donald Trump were as good at "doing deals" as he claims, he wouldn't be wasting his time with a reality show. He'd be using that time to do more deals.

And to think I pay about $900 a month in taxes.

Second thoughts, chips? Hopefully?

I decided to support Biden now. Made that choice a while ago.

I didn't know you made that decision.
Out of curiosity, did you announce (post about) it here in Atlas? If so, I missed it.
And if you made the decision "a while ago," what event/reason changed you mind back then?

I did and the Woodward tapes made me switch to Biden.

I most want to know to whom he owes the 421 million $. The answer(s) would explain a lot of things he does or doesn't do in office. The bad news is that Trump would remain a national security threat even after leaving office. I mean he had access to Top Secret material and would remain compromised even as former prez.

I ultimately want to know why he became president in the first place.

First, he did The Apprentice, which was a huge success and made him a lot of money. After a while, it got stale, so he did Celebrity Apprentice, which revitalized his brand (and finances). But that came and went too, and since he's incapable of running a real business, he decided that, since he played a businessman on TV, why not play a politician on TV to breathe fresh life into the Trump brand?

I wonder why Trump supporters are almost completely absent from this thread, and the only ones who are posting are either invoking whataboutery or meaningless comments like "he's a beast." I wonder why? Maybe it's because they know that those of us who have been saying since 2015 that Trump is a liar, a racist, a fraud, a wannabe tyrant, a criminal, and just a horrendous person and not a good businessman have been right all along, and they're just too stubborn to admit it, and don't have the maturity to recognize that they were wrong, and only know how to dig their heels deeper into the ground and hope that refusing to ever give an inch means that they'll always get their way?

...Nah, must be because we're just "elitists" or whatever.

If you want to indicate you support Biden, you can just choose him in the mock endorsements section and his campaign logo will appear under your avatar (that is why other people have Biden/Trump/etc logos under their avatars).

I was thinking along the lines if how he became a national security risk is intertwined with him wanting to be president. I give it about 20% odds that it is. Just like I gave Assange in my head to find something that was truly disqualifying about Hillary above and beyond some of her church going staffers complaining and saying arrogant things about the church.
