Absolutely disgusting. The NYT continues to intrude on Trump's privacy and personal life - why can't they just focus on policy? He's under enough pressure and stress as it is. The folks over at the Times need to learn a little decency.

They should have released it a few days before the election...not that it would have mattered much anyways.

This creates yet another news cycle where Trump will be on the defensive, leaving less room for anything negative on Biden.

Just as I suspected, he kept his taxes secret because he's a fraud and didn't want to be seen as worth less than he claims he is.

He's paid less taxes than I have, and I'm a grad student! What the HECK!

$750?Huh Christ, I’m pretty sure there are teenagers on this forum that pay more in income taxes than that.

Because he's running on his Presidential record and not his business record, it unfortunately will not matter at all. I doubt a single vote changes because of his scummy past behavior.

Not surprising. Instead of making this about Trump's taxes directly it should be about:

1. He's a failed businessman. Look at how much he lost.
2. Highlight some of the flaws of our tax system.

With anyone else, this would end their candidacy. With Trump, well, we’ll have to wait and see...

Also, this is just more confirmation that Trump is a bad businessman and a worse human being.

I don’t know how he’ll successfully get to the subject, but Biden needs to hammer him on this at Tuesday’s debate.

But I was told the Biden "stupid bastards" quote would be main story all week.

The New York Times is one of the few organizations I have a lower opinion of than the GOP.

Donald Trump is a public figure and (for better or for worse) the President of the United States -we as citizens and taxpayers have a right to know these kinds of details.  Especially when it is likely he is a crook.

I initially thought about this as well, but then I realized that this could accelerate early voting in states.

After two pretty good weeks for team Trump, these past two days have been horrible.
The NYT poll was pretty rough, the Rock’s endorsement is not good, and the tax returns are certainly going to make the headlines. Let’s hope this energy continues after the debates.

Even if it's technically legal for him to pay so little tax, it doesn't make it right. He has an obligation to support the rest of society, that helped make him so successful in life. He doesn't care about other people, he just sees ordinary working people as chumps who should have to pay more instead or get less from their government.
