The Consumer Energy Alliance is a Koch-backed group, so it probably deserves an (R), but I put a (K) down for good measure.

It remains severely underrated that Hegar could win TX. She just needs enough $$ bc clearly no one knows who Cornyn is either there

That MS poll is going to really screw up the averages.

I agree. Cornyn's topline vote share in polls is actually three points lower than Trump on RCP.  Hegar might not be a great candidate, but I see no evidence whatsoever that Cornyn has any kind of unique brand in TX like a Susan Collins or a Sherrod Brown that is going to help him overperform Trump at all. Hegar probably ends up winning a sizeable majority of the current undecideds in TX senate polls.

Hilarious poll! These polls would be true in a universe where the supermajority is in in reach

I bet Mitch is self-flagellating right now for not running.

He could have easily won.  What a dumbass.

edit:  Not the traitor Mitch... I'm talkin' bout the bald one.

It's just a bit too rock solid red to be flipped even by JBE (in my opinion), especially considering the runoff. Is Perkins making much of a mark?

Oh no, JBE could definitely win it. Mitch would have a chance but less likely. Perkins... no.

I'm aware that it's a jungle; that's no reason why they can't ask which candidates people support and who they'll vote for in a Cassidy vs X runoff. "Keep Cassidy or get rid of Cassidy" is a useless question at this stage of the race.

There are too many people running.  People would hang up if they had to wait for the surveyor to list them all.

Very forward thinking of the people of Louisiana to support the bid of Dönot Reelęct (D).

In all seriousness, these polls are obviously the big wrong, but if they're even close to right that's very bad news for the GOP, especially in the long term.
