Yet another poll that has Trump stuck in the low 40s and Joe Biden at an absolute majority. You love to see it!

Trump is getting to the point where he needs that HARD last-second kick from undecideds like he did in 2016.

And even then, it might not be enough.

This has been an impressively stable race, despite everything that has happened this year.

Honestly at this point I think everybody made up their mind in 2017, and the only reason the race was less stable during the primary were people (like myself) who wavered a bit at the time because they didn't want to admit they'd end up voting for a Dem candidate they've been saying for years that they wouldn't.

We are in a Recession, both Bush W and Trump came in on both Obama and Bill Clinton's economies and they hurt the income disparities by cutting taxes on the wealthy and we are now stuck at 8 percent unemployment.

The stimulus is gonna pass as soon as Biden is elected, since Mitch let it expire

Funny, this is supposed to be a poll of "voters", yet I wasn't polled. Curious!

Hope the VBM voters also get thoroughly "polled" in the end. Otherwise we might end up with a "curious" result.

Of course a lot of these people don't realize that you need to be (a) in an area likely to get polled, and (b) reachable.  If it's a national poll of 1000 registered voters, then you've got about a 1/150,000 chance of being randomly selected.  Then your number has to be selected, and you have to be willing to answer it from strange numbers.

A few years ago, whenever there was an interesting race in Georgia I would get polled all the time (5-10 times a cycle) because I had a landline and was willing to answer it.  Since I gave up my landline, I haven't been polled once.

What's even more funny is how a person in this forum could possibly be so confused about how polls work as to think this is at all "curious."

Haha, I hope so.  I've seen way too many people state that sort of thing in all seriousness to have any clue anymore.  If it was sarcasm, I apologize.

While there are some truly dumb people who wonder in here, there are more seasoned vets who get weary of covering the same ground over and over again and have to amused themselves and others while covering the same ground over and over again.  Eventually, you'll get used to the rhythm.

This has been an impressively stable race, despite everything that has happened this year.

Not impressively, depressingly. The fact that the American public has been completely unable to respond to a series of enormous political stimuli is clear evidence of a democracy in crisis. I worry that we are Chile circa 1972: on the verge of polarization-induced collapse.

Is this a tracking poll?

538 has an Ipsos poll from Sept 22-24 up on their website that's Biden +9 ...

Yet another day goes by where the race was 'supposed' to have tightened, but Joe Biden just keeps on leading by high single digits.
