The numbers are plausible but SurveyMonkey is a Zogby/Trafalgar level pollster.

SurveyMonkey is not a good pollster and usually pretty bullish on Trump so color me surprised.

No to Michigan and PA (within reason, anyway), maybe for WI.  I'd be more surprised if Trump wins Wisconsin at this stage than if Biden wins it by 5+ points, though.

They've got Biden tied in SC but only up by seven in RI.

What? You have a problem with that, GM?

Well, Fitzgerald wrote that the test of intelligence is the ability to hold two opposing ideas in one's mind at the same time.  But you have to draw the line somewhere. Wink

I’m in the process of adding all 50 state polls for September to the database.

About 20 done.

Could take a while ...

VARepublican: please change the thread title, it’s a 50 state poll.

Maybe we could get people from the polling firms to add their results here.

If someone else wants to add them, no problem ... I stopped after IA.

I was too busy looking at states like SC (tied), RI (Biden +7), etc. etc. to notice New Mexico.  What would the map even look like if all of these states verified as in this data-set?

According to the 538 grades, SurveyMonkey is literally the worst polling firm that the site is still willing to include in their averages.

What a crazy poll-set.

Yeah, to start, SurveyMonkey doesn't have a track record that's all that great. On top of that, when you conduct dozens of polls at a time like this, you are bound to get wonky results like NM and RI, since there's less control over the quality of your data set.

Amazingly, a lot like real life. <Insert some corny quote about math being the language of the universe here> Smile

Still, if this was all true, Trump is done. I don’t think I believe it though.

There are other polls that show a very close race in South Carolina.  I don't recall if there have been any other polls for Rhode Island.

Survey Monkey isn't the best, but most of their numbers either don't seem to be that out of line with other polling firm numbers or they're fairly consistent with the 2016/2018 results.

So, at least they've given us numbers from states that haven't been polled otherwise and they likely aren't too far out of line.

No to Michigan and PA (within reason, anyway), maybe for WI.  I'd be more surprised if Trump wins Wisconsin at this stage than if Biden wins it by 5+ points, though.

Based on what???

I said a lot of potentially dumb things, Alben.  You're going to have to be more specific.
