Edith Jones on the circuit level if Biden wins? I'm legit surprised she hasn't taken senior status. I've also heard she is arguably the worst circuit court judge ever appointed in the last few decades and probably the most hated (even by her colleagues).

She’s only 71, and as far as I’m aware isn’t in bad health. So I kinda doubt it. Doubt she would retire under Biden.

For SCOTUS, Biden will get to replace Breyer (who I’m sure will retire almost immediately after he is sworn in) and MAYBE Thomas if he bites it in the next four years. Still, that would only get us back to 5-4 with a new young justice unless the court is packed.

retiring isn't the same thing as taking senior status.

Kinda doubt she would even do that if Biden gets to pick her replacement.
