In 2004, Senator John Kerry of Massachusetts would wind up just barely losing the election to incumbent president John Kerry, likely due to Kerry running a safe, bland, uninspired campaign. However, what if Senator John F. Kennedy Jr., who in this timeline runs in 1992 and defeats Al D'Amato by 16% and is re-elected in 1998, runs for President and gets the D Nomination (likely in a sweep against Kerry, Edwards, and the others). Who would be his running mate and what would the final result be?

Sen. John F. Kennedy Jr. (D-NY)/Rep. Dick Gephardt (D-MO), 336 EVs, 52%
Pres. George W. Bush (R-TX)/VP Dick Cheney (R-WY), 202 EVs, 47%

Two Dicks with a lesbian daughter as the VP nominees would have been one hell of a coincidence by the way. Nearly happened anyway with Kerry.
