Perhaps Trump had finally put forward a qualified nominee.

If 18 Democrats and Daines voted for him, he was sufficiently bipartisan and that’s a good thing for all of us

Usually these are pre made compromises Mitch does. "Make it easier for me to get this court of appeals seat and I can give a moderate in some lower circuit seat."

Is the implication of this tweet Democrats are supposed to oppose all Trump judicial nominees? If they are qualified and not a conservative hack, why should Democrats vote against them? Just because Trump appointed them?

A lot of Trump's nominees aren't that bad.  It's just only the high profile horrible nominees get news coverage. Beyond them, there are lots of nominees like this one that are your standard fairly mainstream qualified Republican. Also this is a district court nominee - district courts have little real power because they are strictly bound by multiple layers of precedent. Thus most district court nominees aren't worth opposing.

They talk about CRT packing due to Unions not liking Citizens United. It's hard to imagine a scenario where a 6-3 Crts will overturn Citizens United,  unions thought a Biden replacement would join Robert's in striking down law
