resident Donald Trump called it “the most beautiful thing” that MSNBC journalist Ali Velshi was struck in the knee with a rubber bullet while he was covering a peaceful protest in Minneapolis in May.

Trump inexplicably deemed it “law and order” as a campaign rally crowd in Minnesota cheered him on Friday. Velshi was breaking no law — nor were protesters — when he was injured by police.

Trump mistakenly recounted in his tale that Velshi was painfully struck by a tear gas canister and complained afterward. “Oh my knee, oh my knee,” the president mocked.

Velshi was taken aback that Trump considered his injury “law and order.” He asked: “What law did I break while covering an entirely peaceful (yes, entirely peaceful) march?”

He also boasted that his overwhelmingly white supporters at the rally in Bemidji (Minnesota is 84% white) have “good genes,” raising an ominous Aryan specter from the 1940s. “You have good genes, you know that, right? A lot of it is about the genes, isn’t it, don’t you believe? The racehorse theory,” Trump said.

He suggested Omar and two other female lawmakers of color, Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) and Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.), be prosecuted for “buying dresses” — but offered no details. “We’ll prosecute them, yeah, why not?” he mused.

The “racehorse theory” of genetics holds that some human beings are born genetically superior to others, and Trump has reportedly attributed his success to his genes. It’s unclear who in Trump’s worldview would be seen as having bad genes. A biographer of the president claimed in 2016 that the then-candidate believed he himself had first-class genes and that he subscribed to eugenicist ideas of genetics that those with superior genes should procreate.

We all only have a finite amount of time. This is awful, but Trump & his GOP spew a score of equally awful things every day, and the volume is only increasing as the election approaches. (We should probably have a megathread for "stupid hateful crazy stuff Trump says".)

And it's not like "Trump calls for violence against his perceived enemies" or "Trump attacks the free press" are new.

Yeah, some of this was covered in the General Lee thread.  Trump is fascist klantrash and so are his supporters whether they are open about it or are just mealy mouthed equivocators.  There's really not a debate to be had, it's just reality.

Not saying you shouldn't continue to make threads, or even make 5 different threads on what he says is fine.  It all should see the light of day.  It's just that there is no more debate to be had.  You might get a blue klanner to come in here and spew, but you'll never get the mealy mouths like Del Tachi or Extreme Republican to come in a thread like this
