Well, some states have talked about treating abortion like murder, even if it's committed in another state.  So if you live in South Carolina, and go up to Virginia to get an abortion, and then come back to South Carolina, you're arrested.

Democrats would basically declare war on those states, though.  And plenty of women would move out of those states permanently and into blue states.

That's still a really bad situation for people who can't easily move away from red states. I have a job, family, and a whole life in Mississippi and have no interest in leaving. Could I pack up and leave and get a new job in a blue state? Probably, but I shouldn't have to.

On the surface I agree, but people have to be mobile. The US is built on mobility. Mississippi is a place I'd be trying to escape despite having those circumstances you listed.

We've effectively have had another 9/11 per day with this pandemic for months now, though the death rate now appears to be declining (thankfully). But otherwise, while I'm nowhere near as staunchly pro-life as you are, I'd rather we live in a world where abortion wasn't necessary.

Well, that's only if the Supreme Court decides to make abortion illegal everywhere, rather than just returning it to the states.

Hopefully my property value increases from everyone suddenly wanting to move to Washington state.

Come the 2030 census, blue states will see a sharp uptick in allocated House representation and electoral votes, from all the population drain as red states essentially turn into mini-theocracies like Brownback's Kansas.  The deep-red states will also experience severe brain drain (as if they haven't been already) and will have to continue depending on the federal government for their existence.  Sadly, they will still each get just as many senators as the entire state of California.
