He's also finally revealed the secret behind his dead deer tweet from 2012.

I assume Grassley was throwing shade at the SD Attorney General.

I honestly can't tell if Grassley himself is tweeting this and is just insane/senile, or if this is some kind of 4D chess move by his staff to draw attention to his account and give him some sort of ironic appeal to young people.

When an 87 year old seven-term senator begins trying to put the finishing touches on his legacy in public life, turning yourself into a meme is generally not high on the list of logical next steps.

Its just his tweeting style due to the character limit, he's been doing it for quite a while.

Look at it, enjoy it, and have a quick laugh. There's a reason he wins almost every year by huge landslides. Its literally #retail campaigns.

But the 140 (never 120) character limit is long dead! It's now 280. And even Trump's tweets are more coherent. I guess maybe it is intentionally funny though. Still, at his age I'm guessing he probably doesn't run again.

Ha That’s cool reminds me of a story on my uncle's farm His way of spelling pigeon is a nice way of bringing Democrats and Republicans together I think the reason he wins in landslides is because of ideological voters like me who want their ldrs to craft b👁partisan solutions to the problems we face in our everyday lives What’s wrong w/ the shrill Ernst gal though It’s reassuring that we’re the ones who will decide Senate control
