Probably Lagoa. The optics of Dems filibustering a woman of color would not be good.

Weren't you one of the people that thought blacks would vote for Kanye over Biden?

I said some younger black voters could support him. Mostly younger men dissatisfied with both options. This was before his campaign rally and continued breakdown.

No you said 15% of ALL young voters (not just young black men) would flock him and he'd cost Biden a minimum of 5% in the polls.

Before his campaign rally that wasnt an illogical idea. Young edgy white guys in particular would've been drawn to a semi coherent West campaign. Trump is old news for the meme guys

Wouldn't that be the same seat?

Also, I don't see how one female judge is representative of all women

The one thing about Lagoa that makes me pause is her age. 52 is not that old, but if you are cementing conservative control over the judiciary until the end of time, why not go all out? Allison Rushing is fifteen years younger...
Because Trump doesn't give a sh!t about that. It's all about him, not conservatism.

I think Trump's top priority is just how someone would rule on him, and he probably regrets Gorsuch despite him having a strongly conservative record for the most part.
There are people telling him what to do — handing him the lists and so forth. "This pick will help you with the evangelicals, sir, they'll vote for you like never before."

Anyone who thinks edgy memers make up 15% of young voters and 5% of voters in general needs to stop spending so much time online. As is anyone who thinks Kanye is even capable of running a semi-coherent campaign.

And for the record this was your initial response to that supposedly disastrous rally:
It was nothing short of God like.

I love this fantasy conservatives have that liberals are somehow backed into a corner if they run across a non-white conservative.

Both Ted Cruz & Betsy DeVos are White.

Ted's father is a white Cuban. Betsy DeVos is of Dutch ancestry.

The unions, not politicians are calling for CRT packing, of course due to Citizens united is DOA in a 6-3 CRT. That's why they are telling Ds and Indies to donate to triaged race of KY

But, Unions gave non Markey supporters a boring Senator again instead of Kennedy.

Ds are telling voters to wait to fill vacancy til after a Prez is inaugurated

Nah. If he's going off-road that far, it'll be Judge Jeanine Pirro. (She'd keep her FOX News job, of course. There is no conflict of interest in Trumpland.)

I think it's more likely to be Lagoa for two reasons. First, it's been widely reported that last time Trump didn't like Barrett for whatever reason.  Second, while Trump could use help in Florida, he certainly won't need it in Indiana. If Barrett had connections to a swing state, she'd have a better chance.

So I’ve been reading up on Lagoa, and um, what’s the deal with her? Gets appointed to the Florida Supreme Court January 2019, spends less than a year there before being tapped for the 11th Circuit, then 9 months into her tenure on the federal bench she’s in the mix for a SCOTUS seat. Huh
Has any judge ever had such a meteoric rise? Did she do or write something noteworthy to get this sort of traction? What am I missing?

Trump is planning on picking off electors in PA, MI and WI, to seal his electoral win, if he loses in a close election. SCOTUS already said an elector is free to vote anyway he choses. The caveat, is will it be a close election, for him to do that, Biden has substained a blue wave margin since BLM has begun and in a wave, he can't do that, only if its close.

Also, I am watching the Senate floor votes, and every Dem including Markey are voting for all of Trump's judges, if Unions and Dems want to put off RBG nomination til Jan, and vote to confirm all of Trump's lower Crt nominees, in the process, they won't convince Majority Leader McConnell this

SCOTUS said pretty much the opposite of that.
