This seat resembles TX-07 in a way. Used to be one of the most Republican seats in the state but uniquely unsuited to the Trump-era GOP. The fact that this is even close (internal poll disclaimer, of course) just spells disaster for the TXGOP.

The wild thing is that this seat isn’t even a gerrymander, it’s a very compact, reasonable district, probably of the best-drawn in TX.

Should this race be moved to toss up?

If TX-3 is a tossup, TX-6 should be as well.

Both are in the Dallas suburb & vote similarly, but TX-6 is slightly more left & the money race is much closer there than TX-3

D internal, there was an R internal a month ago that had it at R+13. Last D internal here from this pollster in July had it at R+6. I'd stick it in Lean R for now.

Apparently both parties sense disaster coming in this district, and yeah, I buy it.

2020 could be doomsday for the TXGOP.
