Running in Florida, especially as a black man with ethics issues.

At this point let's just be glad he managed to keep the election within 1%. No Democrat will ever be able to do that again, even ones better than him.

He campaigned as a progressive in the primary, but shifted more toward the center/right after the primary. This actually dampened enthusiasm among Democratic base voters for him (in fact, some progressive YouTube commentators report getting comments from people who lost enthusiasm for him after his rightward pivot). Perhaps if he had maintained a consistent ideology either way from start to finish, he might have gotten both himself and Nelson over the finish line.

Progressive Pessimist, I hear that the RNC wants to hire you.  They want to pay you to go into a Democratic campaign HQ and demoralize the workers.

He was a corrupt mayor and was an easy target for the inevitable socialism attacks. And DeSantis brought out the base. Plus, a hotly contested senate seat with the outgoing governor running made this a much higher turnout and more hypernationalized electorate than in previous years.

Dems should have nominated Gwen Graham. I still believe she would have won.

Or I will be doing the best thing possible for these Florida campaign workers' lives and help them realize that they need a new job. They should go to Arizona, Georgia, North Carolina, or Texas instead if they really want to help Democrats get elected.

In my defense, I don't think I'm as bad as him.
