All of my other favorite artists have way more extensive discographies than it's possible to rank this way.

My favourite artist is probably Pink Floyd but they have too many albums, some of which I have never listened to.

My most preferred artist (going by # of songs donwloaded on Spotify) about whom I can rank all albums seems to be Coldplay.

1. A Rush Of Blood To The Head - masterclass
2. Viva La Vida or Death and All His Friends - pretty great, has the right amount of electronics, I like its atmosphere very much
3. Everyday Life - interesting, experimental, different; too new for me to have a super-definite impression, but I think it belongs here
4. X&Y - good album but not extraordinary
5. Parachutes - good, maybe too minimalist
6. A Head Full Of Dreams - too electronic and funky but also interesting experimentalism and gets redeemed by Kaleidoscope
7. Ghost Stories - a weird mix of electrofunky and minimalism
8. Mylo Xyloto - mostly electronic trash

I’ll do Pavement - short but sweet discography:

1. Crooked Rain, Crooked Rain
2. Wowee Zowee
3. Slanted and Enchanted
4. Brighten the Corners
5. Terror Twilight

Terror Twilight is still a damn solid album, though.

Some more

Kendrick Lamar

1. To Pimp a Butterfly
2. Good kid, m.a.a.d. city
3. Section 80
4. Damn

Billy Joel

1. The Stranger
2. Glass Houses
3. Nylon Curtain
4. Piano Man
5. 52nd Street
6. Turnstiles
7. Streetlife Serenade
8. Cold Spring Harbor
9. River of Dreams
10. Storm Front
11. The Bridge
12. An Innocent Man
Bonus: Songs in the Attic, a live album with notably good performances of rarities

One dislike I have of things like this is that it makes it look like you dislike the albums you rank towards the bottom. Not the case, I just put my favorites up top. With these artists, I love most of their output.

Ehh, I agree with it. Section.80 has F--k Your Ethnicity as the lead track. Kendrick always has killer opening tracks though.

I like Damn it's just not my favorite. The other three are more replayable to me. I agree with what Sev said, plus Keisha's Song is great. It showed early that his production values were top notch.

My lists would nearly be the same. For Aerosmith, a few of the 80s/90s albums would've made it. For Zeppelin, In Through The Out Door would've at least made the list, and same with III

I don't hate Done With Mirrors, Permanent Vacation or Pump, but none of them are as good as the worst Aerosmith album from the 70s.

I actually haven't listened to In Through The Out Door since the 90s, maybe it's grown on me.  I enjoy III more as an adult than I did as a teenager.  Out on the Tiles is one of my favorite Zep songs.
