His approval in the 2017 exit poll was 40%, and 43% in 2018. I don't see why its insane.

In 2008, Obama won Wisconsin by 14 points. Why would a Virginia win by 14+ be weird if Biden is really up 8?

No. That is literally worse than Hillary's win. With trends, Trump would literally have to win the PV to only lose VA by 5.

well is fairness in 2016 pollsters did not do as much polling in Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Wisconsin because they thought those were all safe states as well

The lesson of 2016 is never assume a state is safe
I think its good that they polling in states VA just to make sure that there is no sudden trump surge that we are potentially missing
