How would Nixon vs Wallace have turned out in 1972 assuming there are no serious third parties?

I think the result would have look something like the Eisenhower vs Stevenson results with Wallace only winning a few southern states and DC. I could see him winning some of the "coal democrat" states like Kentucky and West Virginia. Maybe he could win Pennsylvania if he still had strong urban support.

Wallace only wins AL , MS and DC

Here’s a poll showing that Wallace led Nixon by only one point in the Deep South and Nixon led overall in the south

Even DC is doubtful if Wallace hadn’t had his “conversion” on racial issues by then. The city was 70% black back then.
