Pure Tossup at this point. I would give James the slight edge because Peters as an incumbent should be polling a lot better if he was going to win. I think James eeks it out by .5% to 1% and Trump wins MI by 1 to 1.5% but it is also possible that James outperforms Trump by a little also.

For Detroit News

600 likely voters
MoE: 4%
Changes with January 3-7 poll

Peters 44% (n/c)
James 41% (+1)
Undecided 14% (-2)

John James haven't lead substantially in a single poll, and users think he is favored, Cook PVI shows MI is a plus 4 Dem state, not plus 10 PVI D state, well within Peters margin of victory, this poll shows.

Did Glengariff leave out a 0 at the end of Peters's margin?

Trump led 1 poll in MI in 2016 and won the state. He led in 0 in Wisconsin.
