Both President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris decide not to run in 2024.

The last contenders are Stacey Abrams (still with no elected office-she chose not to run for anything in 2022) and Pete Buttigeig, who has spent Biden's first term as Secretary of Housing and Urban Devlopment.

Who wins more delegates?

After Buttigieg wins IA (if held)/NH/NV and Abrams win SC, Abrams keeps in competitive during Super Tuesday due to the built in pro-southern bias of the current primary schedule system. I think Buttigeig still pulls it out in the end because he's actually served with Biden while Abrams hasn't.
