Just probing for interest about a game based in Irish history, using the Weimar game as inspiration. The game would start just after the ratifaction of the Anglo-Irish treaty and would allow characters to roleplay as individuals from almost any party of the era. The chief characters are:

Michael Collins: A national hero following his efforts in the war, Collins has seen his reputation become polarised over the Anglo-Irish Treaty. As Chairman of the Provisional Government and head of Sinn Fein's Pro-Treaty wing, Collins must walk a fine line between his support of the Treaty and the desires of the Irish republicans, or decide to toss the Anti-Treaty wing overboard completely. (Taken by Devout Centrist)

Eamon De Valera: Leader of the Anti-Treaty wing of Sinn Fein, De Valera sees himself as directly opposed to Collins, once an indispensable ally. With a recent array of explosive speeches hinting at perhaps more militant opposition to the Treaty, De Valera must balance the more militant tendencies of the rural countryside with the democratic ones of the city-based TDs, as well as the fact some of his men may act without permission  . . . (Taken by Cassius)

Thomas Johnson: Leader of the Labour Party, Johnson must bear the torch for a socialist vision of the new Irish Free State. Like his more illustrious opponents, he faces internal divisions caused by his support of the Treaty, but is also trying to assert his independence from union leader William O'Brien, as well as from the more radical elements from the remnants of the Irish Citizen Army. And of course, there is the militiant Jim Larkin waiting in the wings  . . . (Taken by Ishan)

Denis Gorey: Leader of the Farmers' Party, Gorey represents the interests of Ireland's significant agrarian population. His internal divisons are primarily between supporters of protectionism and those of free trade, but lacks a  clearly defined position on the Treaty, which he will be required to make clear or face irrelevancy.

Additional Characters

Pro-Treaty Sinn Fein

Arthur Griffith, President of Dail Eirann

Richard Mulcahy, Minister for Defence.

Kevin O'Higgins, Minister for Justice

Anti-Treaty Sinn Fein

Liam Lynch, Chief of Staff of the Irish Republican Army

Cathal Bruga, Former Minister for Defence

Rory O'Connor, Director of Engineering of the Irish Republican Army

United Kingdom

Edward Shortt, Secretary of State for the Home Department

Winston Churchill, Secretary of State for the Colonies (PSOL)

Would David Lloyd George (the U.K Prime Minister) be an NPC, or playable for the purposes of this game?

Foreign characters are NPCs for now, but I am open to changing that should the civil war trigger.

Thanks guys.

I'm just about to have some minor surgery done for my back (minimal invasive, nothing to worry about), so if you could contact others who might be interested, I'd be eternally grateful.

Okay, it's obvious there's no interest so this is not going ahead. Sorry.

The two British characters i could offer would be Edward Shortt (Home Secretary) and Winston Churchill (Secretary of State for the Colonies)
