Last time each state voted for a candidate who is dead

Maine's districts are supposed to say 88 for both of them.
Nebraska's districts are supposed to say 08 for 1 and 3, 92 for 2.
Hard to see:
MA - 84
RI - 84
CT - 88
NJ - 88
DE - 88
DC - 72
HI - 84

First time each state voted for a candidate who is alive

Maine's districts are supposed to say 92 for both of them.
Nebraska's districts are supposed to say 96 for all of them.

Hard to see:
MA - 76
RI - 76
CT - 92
NJ - 92
DE - 76
DC - 76
HI - 76

I understand Mondale and Dole are dead now. Scroll through the thread for updates.

I think the last time NE-02 voted for a deceased candidate was Bush 41 in 1992.

Wow, what did I do with Nebraska?

By the way, the coding attempted to get the last dead to win NE-02 to say "92" the whole time.

There's no update to be had. Jimmy Carter's still kicking.

West Virginia voted for Dukakis, why does it say ‘88?

At first I thought it was because Bentsen died and we’re counting VPs too, but Iowa says ‘84.

Never mind I'm blind.

Here is the updated map after the death of Mondale (I only had to update one state, that's it!):

Maine's districts are supposed to say 88 for both of them.
Nebraska's districts are supposed to say 08 for 1 and 3, 92 for 2.
Hard to see:
MA - 84
RI - 84
CT - 88
NJ - 88
DE - 88
DC - 72
HI - 84

We do nothing to the map involving the alive nominees:

Maine's districts are supposed to say 92 for both of them.
Nebraska's districts are supposed to say 96 for all of them.

Hard to see:
MA - 76
RI - 76
CT - 92
NJ - 92
DE - 76
DC - 76
HI - 76

I will now update the map now that Bob Dole is gone.

You'll also notice a color change of some states because Biden flipped them in 2020. Honestly, I should've done this after Mondale's passing.

Maine's districts are supposed to say 88 for both of them.
Nebraska's districts are supposed to say 08 for 1 and 3, 96 now for 2.
Hard to see:
MA - 84
RI - 84
CT - 88
NJ - 88
DE - 88
DC - 84
HI - 84

The alive nominee map now looks like this:

Maine's districts are supposed to say 92 for both of them.
Nebraska's districts are supposed to say 00 for all of them.

Hard to see:
MA - 76
RI - 76
CT - 92
NJ - 92
DE - 76
DC - 76
HI - 76
