Are any Democrats considering a run? I think Newsom may be vulnerable in a D vs. D runoff if there's a serious Dem challenger.

Is it weird that I kind of like Tom Steyer? He was pretty endearing during his presidential run and was actually my third choice.

It really is a shame no viable Democrat other than Newsom is running in the recall. If I lived in California, I'd have to just vote no on recall and leave the replacement blank, since Newsom is somehow the best option.

How did Elder become the main Republican in this race? Faulconer is a much more impressive candidate imo.

While this obviously good for Democrats, let's not look too much into it. This really means nothing for 2022, the circumstances are so different that it really is not applicable.
