That's not a sign of confidence, but I'm still thinking the recall wins by 10 points.

Consider the source.  I'm surprised he didn't say 20.

This video makes me wanna move to California just to recall Newsom.

But then again I'd rather stay in Texas and Newsom's gonna survive anyways, so no point in moving there for nothing.

This is a truly incredible level of lack of self awareness.

Also look at how she initially got ratioed and then restricted replies like a coward.

This has got to be a parody, right?

And then she doubled down (and strawmanned, almost no one in the replies was right-wing.)

Someone found the comparable day in 2020 and turnout is actually pretty damn close to it. Also the breakdown of Dems/Reps/Indies is nearly the identical same

Detroit Lions player endorses Larry Elder

He grew up and went to college in Alabama and has played for 5 different NFL teams, none of which are located in California. I generally think celebrity endorsements aren't very important in politics, so I don't pay much attention to them. But, I find it annoying when celebrities endorse (or showing support for, in this case?) candidates running to hold office in places they have absolutely no connection with.

I wonder what's the correct way to say "Latinxs"?

The ballot returns so far look identical to 2020.

The polls are missing something

The polls are probably using too tight of a likely voter screen.

Given her last name, I'm guessing she's "Latinx" herself, in which case isn't it kind of her choice to identify as such?

This is the California recall thread, not your stupid “I hate the term Latinx” thread.

Nearly 600K ballots have been returned in California already.

Total ballots returned = 578,191
Democrats 334,389 (57.8%)
Ind/Other 128,372 (22.2%)
Republicans 115,430 (20.0%)

https://www.dropbox.com/transfer/AAAAAGsEIwg3FoQZQ0tj5RiXoG5qV9Wr381D1YX38USpHR1C0sb7FTA

Seems as though the GOP will have to bank on an extremely large Republican turnout on election day unless Democrats are voting to drive Newsom away in respectable numbers too and independents also.

I think we’ll see about 13-14 million ballots being returned.

That’s 60-65% of the 22 million RV.

2003 had about 62% participation.

1 million returns so far doesn’t mean much and comparisons to 2020 shouldn’t be taken, because returns will drop off at some point in 1 or 2 weeks compared to 2020.

My guess:

53.6% Remain in office
46.4% Recall him

Detroit Lions player endorses Larry Elder

31 year old born in Alabama, went on to play NFL in Pittsburgh, Kansas City, Miami, Chicago and now Detroit.

Larry Elder has this in the bag now.  Guaranteed.
