Polls close at 8PM Pacific, 11 PM Eastern. Results should start coming in by quarter after, but if there’s a tight race, it could be weeks (gdi, California).

Will Newsom get over 50% in the primary? I'd guess he ends up around 54%.

I’m almost certain that he’ll break 50% here

getting some results from a few counties.

Do we expect same-day vote or mail-in vote to be counted first?

Im surprised Lanhee Chen has the most votes right now in the primary. Does he have a chance to pull off an upset in November?

The combined vote total for all of the Democrats in that race at the moment is 63%. Fat no.

Would make up for the Democrats fumbling and getting locked out of AD-38 last cycle.

Seems like this is the final number?

If so, Newsom slightly overperformed Jerry Brown in 2014, the first election with the jungle primary and the only other one so far with a Democratic governor running for reelection.

Pilar Schiavo (AD 40)
Wendy Carrillo (AD 52)
Isaac Bryan (AD 55)
Georgette Gomez (AD 80)

Yup, CA has always been embarrassingly slow on that. That said, I don't expect that much movement in final percentages.
